最期まで闘う力 cat taught me
この話は書くか書かないか迷っていたんだけど
書こうと思う
おととい、実家近くの公園に白い大きな物体を見つけた
なんとなく横目で見て猫に見えた気もしたんだけど
動かなかったし、大きなゴミ袋だと思って通り過ぎた
30分後、その公園へ犬の散歩に訪れて、帰るときに
白い物体の周りにカラスが数匹、そして電線の上には仲間を呼ぶカラスが計5、6匹くらいいた
その白い物体の正体は猫だった
子猫ではないが成猫でもない
近寄ってくるカラスたちに対して
一生懸命からだを大きく見せて威嚇している
その猫はさっきまでそこにうずくまって動けないでいたようで
自分の認識では死期が迫っていたような気がした
だからこそカラスが目を付けて突っつき出していた
でも、震える体を一生懸命伸ばして
絶対に負けないぞと威嚇していたけど
どんどん集まってくるカラスに「これはいかん」と
近づいていったらカラスは、しばらくして逃げていった
でも、問題はここから
カラスが逃げても一向にその場から立ち去ろうとしないばかりか
衰弱しきっていてそこからまったく動けないようで
またうずくまってしまう
普段は絶対に野良猫にえさをあげることはないんだけど
そのときばかりは
後先考えずに、やわらかい猫のえさを与えた
でも、ほんのちょっとしか食べない
そればかりか、こっちにまで威嚇する
小さな体を振り絞って
「絶対にやられないぞ」と叫ぶ
「わかったわかった」
と言って離れると
またうずくまってぴくりとも動かなくなる
どうしていいか分からないまま
行かなければいけない時間が来てしまった
そしてそこを離れた
何が出来ただろう？とか
色々と考えたけど
結局なにも出来なかった
そして、
なにもしてはいけないのかも
とも思った
きっと小さな命は消えていったのかもしれない
せつなさではちきれそうになった
でも、言葉では絶対に教えられないことを
その猫は教えてくれた
相手がどんなに自分より強くたって
最期まで闘う
もしかしたら
僕にも君にも
そういうときが来るのかもしれない
Stray cat taught me
I wondered whether I should told you or not but I tell you.
The day before yesterday, I found big white thing in the park near my real home.
I didn’t know what was it and I passed there.
30 minutes after, I walked with my dog and went that park.
Then I saw some crows were around the white thing.
The white thing was white cat.
The little but it was not a kitten.
The cat assumed a threat posture against the crows.
As I mistook the cat was the thing, cat hadn’t moved and wasn’t OK.
So the crows found it and attacked the cat.
But the cat did his best, did bring his body and cried against the crows “you can’t eat me!”
But the crows called their fellows and I thought I should help him so I did.
Then the crows flied away.
But the problem didn’t solve.
In spite of the crows frying away, he couldn’t move.
Usually, I don’t give any foods for the stray cats.
But at that time I did.
But he couldn’t all of them.
Whats more, he cried against me as his enemy.
“You can’t eat me!”
“OK,OK”
I left him then he didn’t move.
I didn’t know what should I do for him, but the working time came.
And I went work.
Maybe I thought he was not OK.
And he…
But he taught me the thing like this,
No matter what the enemy is strong, fight to the last.
